An AV Actress is a female performer who appears in Japanese adult videos, usually appearing nude or having sex. The genre is also sometimes called JAV by people outside of Japan. These releases differ from pink films in that they're always released straight to video and are generally considered hardcore pornography, with the only limits being Japanese censorship laws.
