Cyborg She (僕の彼女はサイボーグ Boku no Kanojo wa Cyborg) is a 2008 Japanese movie written and directed by Jae-young Kwak.

Plot Summary[]

One day a dull university student named Jiro meets a cyborg. They start to like each other, but since she can't truly feel emotions he decides he has to leave her. One day an earthquake hits Tokyo and she saves the boy's life, discovering her own emotions in the process.

Production notes[]

In late 2006 Japanese production company Amuse Soft Entertainment enlisted the involvement of Jae-young Kwak who had previously directed the massively successful Korean romantic comedy My Sassy Girl. The film was shot in Gifu Japan and had a budget of about ¥1 billion.[1] Originally the working title of the movie was Cyborg Kanojo (サイボーグ彼女) but was changed to Boku no Kanojo wa Cyborg very early on in production.
