Flower & Snake (花と蛇 Hana to Hebi) is a 2004 Japanese film based on a Oniruku Dan novel and directed by Takashi Ishii. It is a remake of the 1974 film of the same name.

Plot SummaryEdit

Toyama is a wealthy business man whose married to a famous tango dancer named Shizuko. When one of Toyama's disgruntled former employees hands over sensitive information about Toyama's shady business practices to yakuza they decide to blackmail him into giving them his wife in exchange for keeping his secret. Their boss, the 95 year old Tashiro is obsessed with Shizuko and arranges for her to be tied up, tortured, and raped while he watches on a giant television screen. Throughout the process his underlings attempt to break her will and convince her to go along with it willingly to save the lives of two of her husband's employees who they have also captured.
