US DVD cover of the Criterion Collection

Ikiru has been releases of two DVD discs with restored video and audio in the Criterion Collection[1] in 2008/2009. There is also an original trailer, imporoved English subtitles, a commentary by Stephen Prince and a documentaries A Message from Akira Kurosawa and Akira Kurosawa: To Create Is Beautiful.[1]

It has also been released in the collectors set of DVDs with 25 films AK 100: 25 Films by Akira Kurosawa.[2]
