Kamachi and Chop, collectively known as Kamachop, are two men who were killed by lightning and now haunt a certain hotel room in Shinjuku. One day an older woman stays in that room, having arrived in Tokyo with the intention of borrowing money from a loan shark to help her son get out of trouble. Her selflessness intrigues the two ghosts, who become helpless spectators of the human drama playing out around them.
