Maborosi (幻の光 Maboroshi no hikari) is a 1995 Japanese film based on a Teru Miyamoto novel and directed by Hirokazu Kore-eda.

Yumiko and Ikuo are a young couple who recently had a baby. One day Ikuo is walking along the railroad tracks and seemingly allows himself to be hit by a train for no apparent reason. A few years pass later Yumiko marries another man named Tamio who also lost his spouse. An argument between the new couple triggers a conversation about unresolved emotions for their deceased lovers and they try to figure out events from the past.
