Rie Miyazawa (宮沢りえ Miyazawa Rie) is a half Japanese, half Dutch actress. She began her career in Television dramas. Her public image took a drastic turn when she appeared in the 1992 film Erotic Liaisons and followed it up by posing nude in a photo book titled Santa Fe. In recent years she has been appearing in more major Japanese films and is generally respected from overcoming her troubled past which consisted of a broken engagement, an alleged suicide attempt, and a battle with an eating disorder.
