Ring (リング) is a 1998 Japanese horror film based on a novel by Koji Suzuki and directed by Hideo Nakata.

When investigative reporter Reiko's cousin is mysteriously killed, she begins to hear gossip about a videotape that causes anyone views it to die. She investigates further, eventually viewing the tape herself and accidentally allowing her young son to see it. She receives a strange phone call in which a voice tells her "Seven days". She teams up with her ex-husband Ryuji to get to the bottom of this evil curse before their son falls victim to it.
