Sumire Ningyo (すみれ人形) is a 2008 Japanese movie directed by Masakazu Kaneko.

Plot summaryEdit

A man named Fumizuki performs a ventriloquism act at nights in a small town where he mimics a girl's voice for a doll named Sumire. Sumire is also the name of his sister who went missing 5 years earlier. Since her disappearance he's continued to search for her in vain. One day he sees a woman named Mitsuko who strongly resembles Sumire and follows her into the forest.
