Tora-san Takes a Vacation (男はつらいよ 寅次郎の休日 Otoko wa Tsurai yo: Torajirō no Kyujitsu) is a 1990 comedy film directed by Yōji Yamada. It stars Kiyoshi Atsumi as Torajirō Kuruma (Tora-san), and Kumiko Gotō as his love interest or "Madonna".[1] Tora-san Takes a Vacation is the forty-third film in the Otoko wa Tsurai yo series.

Tora-san Takes a Vacation was released theatrically on December 22, 1990.[3] In Japan, the film has been released on videotape in 1996, and in DVD format in 2005 and 2008.[4]
