Yojimbo (用心棒) is a 1961 Japanese film written and directed by Akira Kurosawa.

A wandering swordsman named Sanjuro passes through a rural town in the 19th century. Sanjuro takes the opportunity to play two gangsters against one another, but when one of the gangster's sons proves to be a more worthy adversary a final confrontation is inevitable.
