Zatoichi 19: Samaritan Zatoichi (座頭市喧嘩太鼓 Zatōichi kenka-daiko) aka Zatoichi and the Drum and Zatoichi Fighting Drums[1] is a 1968 film based on Kan Shimozawa's novels, directed by Kenji Misumi and starring Shintarō Katsu as Zatoichi the blind swordsman. Zatoichi 19: Samaritan Zatoichi is the nineteenth entry in the popular, long-running Zatoichi series.

Added by KevinZatoichi 19: Samaritan Zatoichi was released theatrically on December 28, 1968.[4] In Japan, the film has been released on videotape in 1984 and 1992, and in DVD format in 2003 as a single and as part of a box set.[5] Home Vision Entertainment released it on DVD in the US on August 24, 2004.[6]
