Zatoichi 6: Zatoichi and the Chest of Gold (座頭市千両首 Zatoichi senryo-kubi) aka Zatoichi: A Thousand Dollar Price on his Head and Masseur Ichi and the Chest of Gold[1] is a 1964 film based Kan Shimozawa's novels, directed by Kazuo Ikehiro and starring Shintarō Katsu as Zatoichi the blind swordsman. Zatoichi 6: Zatoichi and the Chest of Gold is the sixth entry in the popular, long-running Zatoichi series.

Zatoichi 6: Zatoichi and the Chest of Gold was released theatrically on March 14, 1964.[4] In Japan, the film has been released on videotape in 1992, and in DVD format in 2003 as a single and as part of a box set.[5] Home Vision Entertainment released it on DVD in the US on April 29, 2003.[6]
